Had my Ortho appointment yesterday morning. Doctor said it wasn't broken, that it was going to hurt for a while because it is swollen, but that I could go back to work as long as I did the 30 minute on/30 minute off rule. I told the bosses that the Techs were going to have to be helpful. I just can't be running around filling water pitchers and getting diapers out of the far closet. I guess I will have to delegate.
Taxes: done. Laundry: done. Catch me Caring paperwork for the hospital: done.
Went to Safeway, swam 3000. Ate half a bag of tortilla chips with half a jar of salsa and a bunch of cheese.
Highlight of my day: I painted. I asked Marissa if she would create another flower painting for me.
No luck. So I asked for her paints and I made one myself. She let me use her paints and paint brushes. So while Fox News entertained me ( and believe me I love that channel) I created a flower scene. Its hard!! I'm so used to marker pens that I'm not used to a brush and how its difficult to make smooth edges. I even tried to remember back to my childhood when I would watch that guy on PBS. He had the frizzy hair, wild big frizzy hair...he had a really quiet voice. And he would paint forest scenes. Some water, lots of pine trees and a house somewhere in there. What's his name?
First day of work. I"m 3-11. Wish my foot luck! And I've posted a picture of my first painting.
