I went to Easter Vigil last night at my church- the Ukrainian Catholic National Shrine of the Holy Family.
I meant to take a picture but forgot...the Vespers Service and Paschal Liturgy was so beautiful.
I didn't have an Easter basket to bless. Usually I would have food and candles and pysanky. The food I include is: kovbasa, pirohy, cirek, butter lamb, ham, and hard boiled eggs. With the very special cloth embroidered by Grandma Valko and decorated church candles that I have collected over the years.
There was no traffic. I had my own pew. And the priest, at the Mirovanija, asked me where my daughters were...told me to tell them,"tell them the priest was asking about them." HOW NICE!!
I have a 3-11, and I'm going to go to the pool and have a calm and happy swim.
Christ is Risen, Indeed He is Risen. Christos Voskrese, Voistinnu Voskrese!
